Dc = Double crochet
Dc2tog = (Yoh and draw up a loop in next st. Yoh and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc.
Ch 4.
1st row: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc). Turn.
2nd row: Ch 3. 2 dc in next dc. Turn. 3 dc.
3rd row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first. 1 dc in each dc to end of row. Turn. 4 dc.
4th row: Ch 3. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. 2 dc in last dc. Turn. 5 dc.
5th row: Ch 3. 1 dc in first dc. 1 dc each dc to end of row. Turn. 6 dc.
6th row: Ch 3. 1 dc in each dc to last dc. 2 dc in last dc. Turn. 7 dc.
Rep last 2 rows, inc 1 dc every row until work measures approx 30″
[76 cm] along straight side edge.
Beg decs: 1st row: Ch 3 (counts as dc) 1 dc in each dc to last 2 dc.
Dc2tog. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. Yoh and draw up a loop in next hook. (Yoh and draw
through 2 loops on hook) twice – beg dc2tog made. 1 dc in each dc
to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows, dec 1 st every row to 2 dc.
Next row: Beg dc2tog. Fasten off.
Tassels (make 2)
Cut a piece of cardboard 8″ [20.5 cm]. Wind yarn around
cardboard 30 times. Break yarn leaving a long end and thread
end through needle. Slip needle through all loops and tie tightly.
Remove cardboard and wind yarn tightly around loops ¾” [2 cm] below fold. Fasten securely.
Cut through rem loops and trim end evenly.
Sew Tassels to either end of Kerchief.
